House Concerts can provide the ultimate experience for enjoying a musical performance in the comfort of your own personal space. A House Concert setting offers the perfect dynamic between performer and audience, without the need for a stage, sound equipment, lights, etc. The only requirement is a space in your home, barn or porch (or?) where I can set-up my gear and so that all guests can comfortably sit and relax to enjoy the music. Subtle, ambient lighting options add to the quality of the performance. Many House Concert events include alternate activities, such as potluck meal, hors d’oeuvres, desserts and/or cocktails. House Concert hosts can either sponsor the cost of the performance themselves, and/or request the agreed upon and pre-determined cost per person to be paid by those who attend.

All of my House Concert performances are designed as two-set shows, featuring mostly all original poems, songs and tunes from my 35+ year career as musician, edu-tainer and songwriter. Custom themes and performances can be made available upon request. For these events, I will accompany myself on guitar, mandolin, ukulele, strum-stick, dulcimer and an array of wind and percussion instruments. I will also be highlighting many of my songs recorded and performed during my years with Northern Light, and I’ll always plan to perform with some of my exotic and unique musical instruments from my collection. Whenever practical and possible, I will make an effort to invite other musicians to join me for these performances.

Note: Actual costs of sponsoring a House Concert and ticket prices for those who attend may vary depending upon the situation. In general, there will be a minimum fee/number of attendees required and all proceeds will be designated for the performer. A nominal fee for traveI expenses will also be added.
I always suggest having a mutual discussion and agreement of all House Concert details beforehand to make sure that it is the right event for you. I will also consider offering one of my other programs in lieu of a concert performance whenever it might best suit an individual request. In that case, regular program rates would apply.
